Athlete Support Application Form
Successful applicants will be beneficiary of:
- You will have access to free use of the fitness facilities and swimming pool
- Successful Applicants can only use their designated facility to train (including iceSheffield for patch ice)
- Membership will be for a 12 month period at which point you would need to re-apply and continue to meet the eligibility criteria
- Sheffield City Trust branded apparel to showcase the support
Who is eligible:
- Applications must be backed up by written evidence from your respective National Governing Body on letter headed paper and you must meet one of the criteria below:
- World class Podium - This programme is designed to support sports and athletes with realistic medal capabilities at Olympic Games, or realistic gold medal capabilities at Paralympic Games, and are a maximum of four years away from the podium.
- World class Podium Potential - This programme is designed to support the stage of the pathway immediately beneath Podium. It supports sports and athletes that have demonstrated realistic medal winning capabilities for future Olympic or Paralympic Games. Athletes at PP level are typically four to six years away from the podium.
- Performance Foundations -Home Nation Talent Pathways where highly talented athletes are first identified, confirmed and prepared to meet the increased demands of the world class environment. Athletes at PF level have the potential to graduate to Podium Potential within 1-4 years.
- If you are under 18, you must obtain parental consent to join the programme and anyone under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all time whilst attending the facility (the adult must be a paying customer/member or spectator only which will be free of charge)
- You must live within the local authority catchment area/have a Sheffield postcode.
Successful applicants would be expected to:
- Promote the scheme through their social media channels a minimum of 12 times across the annual membership.
- Support Sheffield City Trust with appearance visits on coached programmes, school visits, events. Up to 3 visits are expected per annual membership.
- Positively promote Sheffield City Trust.
- Wear Sheffield City Trust apparel when making visits and appearances.
To be considered applications must be received by the 25th March 2024. Successful applicants will be contacted by the end of March, ahead of a 1st April start.
