Carers Week 2022

To celebrate Carers Week, Sheffield Carers Centre, Sheffield Young Carers and Sheffield City Trust have launched a great initiative for Sheffield Carers

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. There are 6.5 million people in the UK who are carers, by looking after a family member or friend who has a disability, mental or physical illness or who needs extra help as they grow older.

In, addition, there are an estimated 90,000 unpaid carers in Sheffield providing a wide range of help and support to relatives and friends. They need to be recognised for the difficulties they are experiencing, respected for all they doing, and being supported with information and understanding. So for Carers Week, we want to help support Make Caring Visible and Valued.

8 FREE Activities to use at Sheffield City Trust’s venues

Holders of a Sheffield Carers Centre ‘Carer Card’ can access 8 activities for free including access to the gym, fitness classes, swimming pools (leisure and lane) and ice skating sessions at all Sheffield City Trust venues. This offer will be valid to redeem from 6th June - 3rd July. 

Terms and Conditions

  • Carers must provide a Carer Card number when registering. If you do not have a Carer Card you can request one online from Sheffield Carers Centre (click here) or by calling 0114 278 8942.
  • Offer can be redeemed between 6th June - 3rd July. Offer is limited to 500 carers. 
  • Activities must be used within 3 months.
  • The 8 free activities are only redeemable for the Carers Card holder to use.
  • Activities that can be redeemed include - gym, swimming, fitness classes and ice skating. Each activity is 1 usage. For example, if you attend 2 fitness class on one day, that will be classed as 2 visits.
  • We advise pre-booking an activity before attending

How Do I Sign Up?

To redeem this offer simply:

  • Complete your details using the form below. Please ensure you have your Carers Card Number to hand.
  • Our team will process your application. Please allow 3 working days for this to be completed. 
  • Once your application has been processed we will contact you by email. You can then book your activities online here or by calling 0330 333 0555.
