- 1 cup Baby Spinach
- 0.5 cup Blueberries
- 0.5 cup Banana
- 1 cup Plant based milk or other liquid
- 1 tsp Flax or Chia Seeds
- 0.5 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp Coconut Oil (optional)
Load the ingredients into a high powered blender or smoothie maker and process until smooth.
Baby spinach can be pureed with a little water and frozen in flexible ice cube trays. Once frozen, remove from the trays and store in an airtight freezer bag or container. Use 1-2 ice cubes to replace the 1 cup of fresh spinach. Make sure your spinach is washed before freezing.
Bananas can also be frozen. This might be helpful when you don’t want to use a full banana. Line a tray with baking paper and chop bananas into discs 1cm thick. Arrange on the tray without any edges touching and place in the freezer. As soon as frozen, remove and store in an airtight freezer bag or container.
