Customer Spotlight Of The Week - Meet Dave

We welcome all customers to our venues whether you are a complete fitness beginner or a seasoned pro, we have the facilities and ability to create personalised plans for everyone.


One customer who has experienced this first hand and has really reached is full potential is Dave.

After joining Ponds Forge in 2016, he managed to maintain his fitness but felt he didn’t truly push himself until he started seeing a Personal Trainer.

“When I first joined, I was just playing at getting fit. I was overweight and not getting any younger which was why I decided to sign up with a PT who put together a training plan for me.”

Once he started a tailored fitness plan, he really started to see changes in his health and overall fitness.


To top his incredible transformation he’s had some fantastic achievements too.

  • Completed his 1st ever Triathlon (Sprint Distance) followed by 2 more, completing 3 triathlons in 3 months
  • Lost 6 stone in weight and transformed his appearance
  • Completed a Rother Valley 5k
  • Completed the Abbey Dash 10k in Leeds
  • Completed the Bolsover 10k in December
  • Took part in the Santa Dash at Meadowhall


To say he’d never run a mile before 2018, this is very impressive!


It just shows with a little bit of direction and determination you can see real results.


“I now attend the gym up to 5 times a week and do Parkruns every week too. I’ve got my nutrition all sorted and I’m much stronger, healthier, happier and fitter than I’ve ever been! I love to attend the spinning classes each Wednesday, and then mix up my other sessions with swimming and weight training in the gym. I also enjoy the occasional Kettlebells and vIPR classes too, I just love the variety.”
